Le site internet Mania nous apprend que c'est le réalisateur Brad Anderson (Session 9, Le machiniste) qui a été choisi par Solipsist Films pour adapter à l'écran la nouvelle graphique créée par Robert Tinnell et Todd Livingston; The Living and the Dead (à ne pas confondre, donc, avec le film de Simon Rumley datant de 2006).
The Living and The Dead se passe dans l'Allemagne du 19ème siècle. Un savant fou y fait revivre le mythe de Frankenstein en essayant de vaincre la mort à travers un récit emprunt de violence, de gore et d'érotisme.
