The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Man [Nouvelle Série]

DC l'annonce sur son blog, la talentueuse scénariste Gail Simone quitte la série "The Fury Of Firestorm", qu'elle écrivait en duo avec Ethan Van Sciver depuis le reboot. Elle sera remplacée par Joe Harris et ceci à partir du numéro #7.

Harris est surtout connu pour ses travaux sur le circuit indépendant comme "Ghost Projekt" chez Oni Press ou "Vampirella and the Scarlet Legion" chez Dynamite.

Il est aussi annoncé qu'Ethan Van Sciver dessinera les numéros 7 et 8 (en plus de les co-écrire donc) et que l'artiste régulier de la série, Yildiray Cinar, reviendra au #9.

Harris et Van Sciver débuteront un arc intitulé "Firestorm Protocole" dont voici le teaser : "Les secrets sont révélés, les armes commencent à s'amasser, et Ronnie et Jason ont à peine commencé à comprendre l'ampleur de ce qui leur arrive".

Concernant Gail Simone, aucunes infos ne sont données sur les raisons de son départ mais pour autant, ça semble assez naturelle. L'annonce de la présence de Simone en co-scénariste sur le relaunch de Firestorm avait été surprenante, d'autant plus aux côtés d'un dessinateur, et on ne la sentait pas forcément des plus passionnées par ce projet. De mon sentiment personnel, je la voyais même contrainte et forcée de travailler sur cette série et ça s'est bien ressenti dans la lecture des numéros où l'on ne reconnait absolument pas sa patte. Alors est-ce qu'elle a râlé ou est-ce que DC a compris tout seul, on ne le saura peut-être jamais, mais si ça ouvre les portes d'un nouveau projet pour Simone, j'appelle ça une très bonne nouvelle !

Je les vois mal ne pas donner très vite un nouveau titre à Gail Simone.
