Ce nouveau titre démarre en juillet après la fin de la maxi-série Number of the Beast qui doit changer les choses dans les Wildstorm Universe. Espérons que ce relunch ne sera pas aussi raté que celui de Morrison et Lee!

lesventes de wildstorm sont tres mauvaises depuis le dernier relaunch par DC, je ne m'y aventurai donc pas pour ma part

J'ai commencé les séries Wildstorm depuis le End of World.

Inutile d'acheter les mini-series, les TPB Armageddon, Revelations et Number of the Beast suffisent pour se faire une idée des changements apportés au Wildstorm Universe.

Wildcats redevient Wildcats dans un LA post apocalyptique avec des mutants cannibales.

The Authority est ultra sombre et ultra violent. Londres n'est plus qu'un champs de ruines avec le vaisseau qui s'est écrasé dessus. Elle est prise de plus sous des tempêtes d'âmes. C'est ma série préférée.

Stormwatch essaie d'intervenir pour sauver des gangs des humains pris en esclavage. Le nouveau plot fait intervenir une menace ex-soviétique.

Gen 13 est aussi déjanté que d'habitude et le plot actuel ressemble à l'histoire d'un jeu vidéo de zombies dans un centre commercial.

Les mini-séries intégrées dans chaque numéro permettent d'avoir un back-up des évènements suivant certaines personnes.

Il ne manque plus que WetWorks, bloqué dans une Europe sous les nuages noirs. En face, les vampires et les loups garous ainsi que les démons inférieurs créent des camps de "concentrations" où les humains les plus faibles servent de casse-croute et les plus forts doivent absolument se reproduire pour permettre un "élevage" de bétail de qualité pour les repas... Dès que cette série sort en régulier, je prend !!!! Les dessins sont de toutes beautés, les scénarios sont bourrins, tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un bon moment !!

Ce délire post-apocalyptique n'est pas mal mais vivement quand même le retour à la "normale" pour WildStorm, c'est-à-dire des choses moins extrêmes et plus dans la mouvance WS. Il est quand même loin le temps béni de StormWatch/Authority par Ellis et WildCATS par Moore puis Casey...

With issue #13, “WildCats” writer Christos Gage
said he plans to feature a six-issue storyline where Team 7 and the
WildCats team-up against a cosmic-powered Tao, the villain from
“Sleeper.” He said to also look for the return of Max Faraday from the
“Divine Right” series.

Beginning with issue #19, writer Adam Beechen and
artist Tim Seeley will take over “WildCats.” “As soon as I take over,
there’s going to be gigantic battles that are going to be happening as
result of storylines coming out of several books in the WildStorm
Universe,” Beechen said. “We have splash pages of utter chaos galore
happening. Basically this is the biggest team-up book you’ve ever
seen.” The writer said that about 60 characters from the WildStorm
Universe will appear in the title during his first year, as they try to
put the Earth back together after the events of “Number of the Beast”
and “World’s End.”
